Why don,t air cooled motors overheat and if they do how do you Know??????

Ive got one here at the moment, Holden V8 that someone tried to convert to air cooled, didn't end well.

Where they travelling north at approx 70k with a tail wind of the same therefore causing Zero air flow :whistle:

I believe so but other factors contributing were: thermo fan running in reverse, temp gauge not working and then the bottom radiator hose decided to leave the vicinity.
