If I took the time to read Lantana's Trove newspaper article on the truck at the 36 motor show we would not be having the weight discussion.

As guessed the 40cwt (2 ton) is for the body and load not the whole truck. They allow half a ton for the body and advertise the truck as a 30cwt (1.5 ton) model. The chassis weight without body is 26cwt( about 1.3 ton). GVM is 66cwt (about 3.3 ton).

The weight
of the chassis is 26 cwt, and the maxi
mum gross weight allowable with load
and body is 66 cwt.

I'll have to sit down and write an update for the Raider.
It runs, it drives, it stops, all the lights work...... sounds great too.
I believe it's a 3.1 litre.
We attended the All British Day in Echunga, Adelaide Hills earlier this year, along with Dad's Karrier Bantam, the Austin 338N and my Hillman Super Minx.

Yes, you and Dad have a very impressive lineup. Echunga sounds very interesting. When is it on again? I would like to take my little convoy there, as long as it does not clash with the Shepparton swapmeet.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Hi Morris, the Echunga All British Day this year, was held on the first weekend of March which I believe they will be doing again.
According to their website below, next year's is set for March 3rd 2024.

There's always some very interesting vehicles to drool over, parts to be had, and it really is a beautiful part of the world. And Hahndorf and their famous pubs are not too far away :P

Thanks, Rusty54,
On the Registrations area of their website, it only mentions 2023. PM sent.

Morris, if you click on "The Event" box on that website, you will see details about entering for 2024.

Entries open late september 2023, and close on the 1st of november 2023, for the 2024 event.

Thanks 180wannabe,
I clicked on "The Event" box and got details including costs for spectators but nothing about entrants. Does that mean that the charge for entrants is the same as for spectators?
I have searched their website but cannot find a cost for entrants.

Folks are dumb where I come from.

I'm not sure sorry Morris. It might pay to contact the organisers and ask, or just wait for a couple of weeks until entries open, when it should be on the website. I am guessing they advertise the cost for spectators widely, and then the cost to enter only with the vehicle entry information, so as to perhaps avoid some confusion between the two groups? General public are perhaps not likely to read the vehicle entry info, but people wanting to enter, will. That's just my guess at the moment.

I have never entered a vehicle, but many friends have, and i remember being surprised at how early entries closed.

I received an email today saying that the cut off date for entries for the All British Day has been extended from november 3rd, to "mid november", due to computer glitches.
