I suspect these or most of these pics are from a story by the poster about that truck and it's colour change, I just collected some Vaughan pics. I have more somewhere. I think...... perhaps a relative of Mr Edwards of Moe, or himself. I think whoever,,in any case.

and perhaps not the last, but my big brother making his fortune (not) as an owner driver about 1976 Hume highway near Wangaratta,
I spent some time driving with him, and or waiting for another load in the wrong city and hot bedding in the 20 inch sleeper... and I loved it. Lots of high tarped loads, hand loaded, I think wheetbix one way and Kelloggs the other (Melbourne Brisbane) empty beer cans Melbourne Adelaide and cement back. I was only a casual part time driver, he still does it.

I never knew he owned any trucks, must have been early , are they R190-R200 ‘s they looked respectable, he must have put a subby on and realised how much he was making, I blew my truck up .... so ! my truck burned down... I hope the freight is ok .... yeah

Used to see Vaughan rigs quite often in Adelaide.
Which trailer Co made those horizontal ribbed closed vans in the day, Freighter?
