You might Laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same
Nor my lungs.... Or my left hand from missing the punch to squash the rivets.... Yes we did it by hand back then.... Huge right arm and a sore left hand was normal for me

It gets like that after you've done 1 or 2 full triaxle trailer relines in a day... 4-5 hr's per trailer

Well a change of plan happened the next day
I woke to find a parcel waiting for me at the gate, my relay valves had arrived
So I'm having breaky and the phone rings and a fella from TNT is at the gate and has a parcel for me
It turns out it's my compressor
Well before I pull more apart I'll start putting it back together
Takes me to lunch time to get the compressor and power steering pump attached to the motor
And the rest of the day refit all the other stuff and shorten and refit hoses
It's a heck of job to man handle a compressor back into place, not so bad for some muscular young mechanic in a proper work shop
So I made a lifting eye if sorts and got a small ratchet strap tied to it and up and over some bar work and air cleaner pipe work and lifted it into place and quickly tied it off
Dunno why I didn't do this earlier instead of swearing going crook at
So all that stupidity filled in my day, glad Im not getting paid to do this
So today I fitted a relay valve, yeag simple
Pulled the air filter off the gearbox and it was full of blackness
I already had the seats out by this stage so thought I will change the filter and throw some air and see how it shifts now
Not expecting it to be fantastic I worked the switch back and forth and after 10 minutes it started to get a clunk back to the shift
I decide I best pull the lid and make sure as I almost there
And it was fine so I was pretty happy about that so will chuck it back together tomorrow

It's a bit of stuffing around pulling the lid on the transmission but easier than pulling a fuel tank off and dropping the box out
So once the seats and the special custom floor was opened up it didn't take long to pressure clean the top and lift the lid off, it will take considerably longer to get the lid back on
Any how, the bolts were all still tight and the oil pumping compressor was the cause and my poor maintenance has forced the issue
Paul
