Without wishing to deflect from the topic too much, I found this photo in my collection. It's a photo of a photo, and the friends who had the original photo think it was just one they picked up in a collection in an op shop somewhere.

But I'm sure you'll recognise this aeroplane as one that you had a great adventure in many years after.

Thanks allan have not seen that photo of my avro avian before.

Just found some hidden treasures

Bottom photo is a very rare cx60 6x6 chevrolet blitz with raaf markings. These had the same engine as the gmc 6x6. Not the standatd 216 chevrolet of all other blitz trucks

Was that a Toyota truck in the bottom pic in post #22437 ?
I once worked for a road contruction company and they had a Toyota as the prime mover to cart the emulsion around with. It was a dam good truck.

Yep ,Toyota DA 115......MIM had a fleet of them pulling trailers .......they were very popular with farmers.
