Apart from finishing off the underside of the RH side ramp today I found some high temp paint for the exhaust.

Take 2 on the sides happened this morning. Got both sides coated and across parts of the arse end. Tool box is now also bolted back in place. Now all that is needed is for the weekend to be kind to me and get both ramps done.

I am surprised you mounted the tool box lenghtwise?? Not crossways at the front?? Will you still have tray width enough for what ever vehicle you haul??

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

just looking at the ramp spacing I'd suggest he would ...I am surprised you mounted the tool box lengthwise?? Not cross-ways at the front?? Will you still have tray width enough for what ever vehicle you haul??

Hi Brocky, yes plenty of room for our vintage tractor up there and when loaded with the tractor I also strap done either stationary engines or mowers. It becomes a problem when the tool box runs across as the overall length of usuable tray space decreases before the slope of the beavertail starts. It really works well as is and will take some pics next week when we are on our way to the Rusty Iron Rally at Macksville NSW. Will have our caravan hooked up as well

Today I rubbed the little side gates back a bit and then sprayed them on the flat metal parts. Hindsight said I should have sprayed them totally from the primer to the top coat but this is it. They both sat out in the lovely full sun all day until 4.20pm today and this is what it looks like on this side. I know the other gate does not fit as easily so have left it alone until tomorrow some time. Ramps will definitely wait until after the rally as the paint will not dry properly to run the tractor up and down. I am happy I got it this far and others can see it is a 'works in progress'. Now he is a "Pretty Boy".

Well this is it untill we get back from the Rally. Then I can paint the ramps and I will also be painting the steps up into the cab, including the home made "SLS". (short leg steps). Tool box got a quick touch up too.
