it looks to have been a TNT truck at some stage and that fleet number is a TNT Bulk one .... Anyone know what the middle number is???Werk, not a KAA SAR, but thought I might bring this to your attention. Ex-TNT Bulk/Alltrans Bulk I reckon.

Thanks to Krusy for the photo.
I had thought this was the K&L Press W924 with NTC-335???? Cheers James.

Sorry for the delay but here is the beast ..........
And yes the headlights are NOT original.
And now for another little suprise I have found.....
407617 aka my (ex) bosses SAR as a logger

Not exactly what an ex KAA truck should be doing but theres the proof

Werk, a lot of the old slimlines at TNT/QRX/NQX in Brisbane were converted to single headlights when they were towards the end of their life with TNT, and that conversion looks like the way they did it, put a bit of aluminium in there to cover up the longer dual headlight holes. I can definatly remember some QRX and NQX slimlines converted.

well......that explains a lot......there is orange paint on the back of the current light setup and a NQX/QRX con note book was found behind the seat. The question is why change from dual to single lights???

g'day swishy .. for whatever reason, the powers that be at TNT decided a modified cab step/grab handle arrangement was needed, so the long handle stopped at the bottom of the cab skirt and a ''j'' step was mounted from under the floor....this spec is in the list of modifications applied to all TNT cabovers, ex factory, of this era
...it's often worked out to be a nice little identifier later in the life of these mid seventies bangers
...hope that helps....cheers
