Geoff, I would probobly put a bit of 100 X 6 flat on it's 6mm edge along the centre line of the RHS, and then a a bit 75 X 12 flat on it's 75mm side along the bottom of that to form a beam, 50mm stitch weld every 100 or 150mm. It's easier and stronger than making a truss.

G'day, I tried for rego today but was told I need a roadworthy check first, and that was after they found another form for me to fill out.(thought I had them all covered) I phoned and made a booking but will be advised when they can do it. So then I need to drive 65 km to get permit (24 hr only) and pre-pay roadworthy, travel back, get PM and trailer and drive 70 km to different town to get inspection and return.
When ex Prime Minister Malcolm said life wasn't meant to be easy he was right.
