Hello from Oxford England. was created by
Hello Australia.
I am Roland and I live in the UK , Near Oxford to be a bit more exact.
I am an early retired truck nut with time on his hands.
My appearance here is due to several reasons:-
1. I am mad about Magirus Deutz trucks and Deutz Air-Cooled engines.
2. I am mad about anything Australian.
3. I am just a bit Mad !
If its got an engine, It interests me.
2 years ago I built my own website, and I think it is keeping me sane ?
Have a look and you will see I have many friends all over the world who also have air-cooled brains.
If I can help anyone with information about Magirus Deutz or Deutz engines, I will try to do so. I am not really as interested in the Newer water-cooled Deutz engines like the ones which drive many modern Volvos.
I have not visited your country yet, but plan to do so in the next couple of years, with a bit of luck.
I realise that the time difference will make fast replies a bit difficult but I am sure that will not be a problem.
Cheers.

Welcome Roland.
I know one of our truck members use to have a air cooled Deutz. I think he has now sold it however. When I get a chance will check and see if I have a photo of it for you.

Welcome Roland,
You'll find plenty of people to talk to here.
Aus members - who owns that burgundy coloured V8 volkswagon powered Deutz that pops up at shows from time to time ?.
I last saw it at Alice in 2005.
Basil

Hey Roland,
Nice to have ya on board! You might want to excuse Swishy - he's nuts about his Kenworth S-900's, the first Kenworth trucks into Australia!

Basil,
That Maggie would be Bill Baskett of Toowoomba's Jupiter with the F8L413 air-cooled V8! If you have Stories From The Road, he is with the truck on page 43!
I believe this is the one you're referring to:
