bwwik?

Could it be time for a reality check?

It paid for itself by doing the job you bought it for.

It's not broken down in your shed or between seasons.

Are your a farmer or a sentimental collector of old trucks with stuffed motors, a long way from home?

Drag it home as a toy or scrap it where it is.

Move on.
It's just a truck. :o

It is a useful and good sized truck. it is economical, and apart from the motor in reasonable nick. I have a use for it ongoing, though larger would be better. considering these factors a few grand on a repower or replace is reasonable. 5 or ten is not. and yes I could scrap it out and buy another truck, but in that price range I am always going to be buying problems, is better the devil I know, where the major issue in the low price is that it is an ACCO

Okay then,
Spend the money dragging it home and fix it in your own shed.
You know NOTHING old and mechanical is going to go as planned (ie "pop" straight in) and a far away mechanic ($$$) isn't going to do as good a job as yourself.

And herein lies the adventure of making something work, that others cast off, as junk!

Cheers
