I am fielding this one on behalf of Paynesville Classic Boat Rally (Vic., Sat.5 & Sun.6.3.16,
www.thepaynesvilleclassic.com.au
)
In advance, the organiser and participants are putting up lots of photos of boats which will be there.
This Dragon-class yacht was built in Hobart in 1959, and is now on the lakes, and is an entrant.
On behalf of the organiser and owners, I am posting a retoned crop of the original here, hoping for identification of the two trucks (make/model/year).
59 Sandy Bay (Hobart, Tas.): Yacht, trucks. (Sandra & Barry Wilson).
TIA,
Roderick

Thanks, White Superpower looks good: I have found 1945-52 photos, then a reference to 1938 and to 1955.
The photo supplied, GAR, would be ~1952-53.
Did Toyota enter the Australian truck market so early? I was going for Morris, possibly Bedford, even less likely Thornycroft.

Any one else able to chip in? I'm willing to have a go, but am much happier with corroboration by experts.
Morris LC5 is a prospect: that vertical centre strip in the grille.

Well I'd go with either a Morris LC5 or at a stretch maybe something like a Commer .....I think they were a QX or something like that .... they had a similar look to the Morris
