The problem with any research via Trove newspapers is being sidetracked.
19390325Sa Melbourne 'Age' - Willys. ad
There are lots of online references to sales of hotted versions, but no definitive history. Four-cylinder sidevalve, bodies by Holden.

This photo is from this article.
Reporter Carolyn Webb has another charming piece in today's paper.
She spoke with 96-year-old illustrator Vane Lindesay about how much the South Melbourne market has changed over the years.

It looks to be a vehicle taking produce (not pigs) to market, yet capable of taking the wife to church on Sundays.
Any clues re make/model?

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

The car is certainly not a ute. (Re: Ford's reference to taking pigs to market and taking the Wife to church on Sunday) nor does it have the space take more than a few pounds of produce anywhere. The body style was called a Roadster or in America, a Turtledeck Roadster. The side view of the bonnet and radiator look like a veteran Newton-Bennett, which had a "Bullnose" radiator, narrower than a bullnose Morris. There was a Newton-Bennett found in North Melbourne, in a yard full of the remains of several veteran cars, in the late 1970's. The car remains were offered by tender to members of the Vintage Drivers' Club, much to the annoyance of members of the Veteran car Club.

Thanks both. I had gone for Morris myself; I had never hear of Newton-Bennett. Unfortunately, the angle doesn't let us judge on bullnose width. However, Morris would have sold many more vehicles than N-B, and that tips the scales of probability. Both date from ~1915, fitting the ~1920 date suggestion.

Leading up to Anzac Day, Metro Twitter has been publishing PROV photos of the WWI era.
Sun.23.4.17 Metro Twitter.
A mobile army workshop truck built at the Newport railway workshops during World War I.
What make for the chassis?
In that era, most of the nation's industrial capability was in the railway workshops. Another set of engineering had grown up supplying mining equipment, diversifying into agricultural pumps.
Various coach & tram builders had woodworking skills, and were about to become car bodybuilders. Those skills went into WWII aircraft construction.
