Greetings. The first of Nev's Instamatics. As you can see the first one was a W G Lehmann from Freeling SA and the 8 x 4 was a Bulk Carrying Co. All early 70's . There is a B & W that I took way back of Ray Broadbent's truck and the others are easy to read. Next week then.

That 8x4 would be I think the truck or one of the trucks that went to Kangaroo island
Paint scheme looks about right, they had a straight 8 LXB Gardner
Great stuff and thanks to all involved with sharing these pictures

Mrs,
Same truck I believe. Have a close look at first pic and the third axle is in the shadow of the building.
Cheers Steve

We'll class that as a 'senior moment' Paul -meant to type 10 x 4 but stuffed up so were correct in identifying the truck as working in Kangaroo Island. Pete

In the mid to late 80s a ten wheeler Atkinson appeared in SEQ, in Fast & Heavy/ TAC colours. It was set-up as a tilt tray. I wonder if it was originally one of the pictured jiggers. This was the first ten wheeler I'd ever seen but shortly after, BCC aquired a ten wheeled MIR, Maybe the law changed, making this configuration legal or viable.
