I'm sure many of you see this regularly on your computers, but it seems appropriate right now . . .

Absolutely but they were mistaken choosing Bing Crosby over the wonderful music of the 60's.

It amazes me when it come to the selection of music that Nursing Homes play is around 50 years too early for the patron of today. They still insist on WW1 music and the occasional WW2 which is an improvement. Sooner or later they will have to update to the later music from the 1960's onwards.

I have noticed the same thing. I figure an 80 year old today, was at their record buying peak mid 50's to mid 60's and, perhaps more easy listening music into the 80's. It's the way with my parents and close rellies, at least. I would have thought that that would be what they would prefer to listen to. (I stand correcting on this, of course) It seems to me that the music I hear there is from the time of their birth, or earlier.

Jarrod.

Good reason for that ...they would have to pay royalties.

You blokes don't get it. It's all down to science.
Play the old dears boring music, they switch off, go to sleep. Much easier to take care of when they are all out to it.
