Is that '77 on the build sheet?

639k kms on the filter in a bit over 6 years (to '83) is 100k a year??? So the extra 72k wouldn't take long at all!

Paul, 72,531Km's won't take long at all to rack up....!!

Dunno Seed looks like 712076 km to my old and saggy eyes but I could and most likely am wrong

Never fear, I was thinking maybe these trucks ran around the clock
And if so what a testament to a well built truck
Off to the dumb buggers corner for me were I will don the dunces cap

Very true, Paul.. & the new air cleaner element went in at 639545Kms..

712076 Minus 639545 Equals 72,531Kms..

.Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Pedro, (who thort he was a door ), had his nob shot off...........
So, back to the diffs in that pic,.....do we all agree that they are SSHD 44,000 Lb Rockwells.......or not............
About the input shaft seal..........i thort the seal was always in the bearing retainer (as per the pic).........
But, that is as i recall,,,,..........after all, it was many, many , moons ago................

Far be it for me to say anything negitaive about Swishys beloved KW's but do I see a broom handle in the photo one of KW's not so good ideas. The overnighters had many trucks with this suspension with spare bars located at various places along the route between Sydney and Brisbane for good reason.
Given it was a spec truck I would guess not making mention of the suspension in the build sheet may have been more the work of the sales rather than engineering.
but what would I know!
