Gday Stevo..
Will there be provision within the tarping 'contest' for teaching some of those that are interested, in learning how to tie a knot 'correctly'?
There are a few young blokes down this way that have been keen to learn..
After all it is another part of our craft that needs to be handed down..

Thanks again to the organisers for staging this event once more.. Good work [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Chocs, Would be happy to give a demo before the event.Even if the old frame is rusty. At least they would get an idea of what is needed. All I need is someone to get up and run the tarp out..............Worked with a guy in Albury many years ago.always said he was scared of hights and got someone else to roll out his cap

Teaching Young blokes how to do ropes :-?
Mate I say that is a great Idea, Maybe some of us older blokes could take turns in teaching ;)
You better get practicing Chocs ;D ;D
Tautliner and gloves? hmm had neither when I started, all ropes were hemp and you hated getting new ones.

Steveb :'( :'(
Splicing was one of those chores which was only done by necessity. A man of your experience should be good at teaching this forgotten art ;D ;D
