All those 21st birthdays were 40 years ago.
Most of the funerals which I attend are of octogenarians, and one nonagenarian. The phrase is 'a good innings'.
The worrying ones are of contemporaries and juniors.

Of my recent four, one was a wake, not a funeral. The body wasn't there; there was no ambulance; two of his preserved buses were on display.

Here is the third of the recent funerals.

These two have been placed in a different thread, by a different poster, so have them here too. This hearse is displayed at Motat (Auckland, NZ).

Another one has been found in a different thread, by the group's indefatigable web hunter and quizmaster.
It is part of a twin set: a beer as the top photo, and a bier as the lower one (to stretcher a point).

In just 4 weeks, we had eight deaths within the railway hobby. One was overseas; one I attended the wake (not the funeral); one clashed with another. I got to five funerals, and photographed three hearses for this thread. One had no hearse (body willed to medical science); at one I had forgotten my camera, but it was modern, not vintage. Here is the first of the three.
