Old Ski Boats

After seeing the bit of interest that Melon's Ski Boat generated I thought I'd put up a picture of one of my boats, still have it, though it hasn't been in the water for a long time. It's all fibreglass and I've owned it for must be getting close to 20 years. It was the first inboard I owned, had a 186 Holden red motor in it, but we repowered it with a 202. It was pretty averadge when we bought it, it wouldn't run actually thanks to a dodgy adaptor to a 350 holley which took a bit of reworking to stop it sucking air.

I've got no idea where the hull came from, and if anyone has any idea's I'm all ears. I bought it off Gary at Brisbane Skiboats where it had been sitting for about a year because no one wanted it, and I'm pretty sure he said it was a bloke from Jandowae on the Downs. It was origonally on a wooden trailer as well.

Glasson? do you know where they were made Steve? You don't mean Glastron? I've had one of them to.

strange this , a mate of mine from work , his surname is Glasson and he said his uncle built boat stuff, but i think it was alluminium stuff like steering and foot throttles and stuff, is there any alluminium parts with glasson on them

So Melon, are you going to grace us with a pic of that nice Skicraft boat you have stacked away in that shed?
No ali bits on the boat at all except the exhaust manifold and thrust plate'timing cover, certainly nothing with a name on it.
