Here is my new toy. Bought it off ebay a couple of months ago, but only got to pick it up this weekend.

It's had a complete respray done on it at some stage and all the badges have been removed along with manufacturers identify plates etc. so I don't know exact year of manufacture or model (c1800 or c1840). I'd appreciated any ideas anyones got on finding that out.

It's got a Cummins 160 with 5 speed and two speed diff. Chassis number is D7151.

Nicely done, Dennis. A tipper too, I am most envious. Looking forward to seeing her in the flesh.

I'm not intending for her to stay a tipper as it was originally a Prime Mover and that's what she is going to be again. Anybody want to buy a tipper body?

It would be an Inter CD1840 somewhere around 1970 vintage, should be an ID plate on the LH door pillar, if not you might have dramas at Vicroads. I think if the window glass is original you can work out the date from a code on the Pilkington symbol . Anyone know more about this ?

I can round you up a cheap turntable if you can get it home from Briso Dennis.
My Road Boss hasn`t got a compliance plate either,Queensland Transport just went on the previous rego. Can you get the old rego number?

Pete, you would have thought the bloke who used the glass date trick to date his acco would have had a look at his brothers windscreen too....

tomorrows job

and Pete, a question... does the chassis number indicate it is a D and is the chassis number Dennis supplied prefixed by ACCO ???

Bigcam - Thanks for the offer, but I might look for a turntable closer to home. I have the old rego number so don't think I'll have any hassles with registration. In fact when I got the Scout registered a few years ago the Vicroads guy wasn't even interested in looking at the compliance plate.

Pete - I would have thought it would be relatively easy to date from the chassis number?
