I'll check and let you know soon..
I reckon a steel hubcap off a plough or a pto cover might be a good starting point..

Now that is what i call thinking outside off the box.

PTO cover i think i have got one in the shed will have a look later.

Pipe threads around the 3" are going to be either 8 or 11 tpi.

Reckon hes tryin to pull a hub off Swishy...
Can ya see now?
Screw it over the big thread and wind the bolt in..hopefully extracting the hub..
Or he could loosen the hub nut and scream round the yard in circles till she comes loose!
Mighten have the yard space like the Swisho?? :-/

Well guyz
I might B from the ol Skool
But tiz good to have the right tool for the right job
we improvise to get er dun
Lookn @ the big pixture n B n an armchait critic
would this work:
Grab a lump of pre luvd RSJ
cut holes in oposite sides of flange of RSJ @ wheel stud centers
undo the BF Nut n put on upside down to protect the castleation or better stihl put a disposable nut on
place washer on end of nut so it allows for (no Grab)
place RSJ over the wheel studs , fit tappered washers n do nuts up tight
then undo BF Nut n it should put pressure on the wheel hub to release

There Dun

Easy az 1 2 3

LOL

Your old school solution may just work, my only concern is will there be enough strength around the outer bolts so as to not buckle the spider.
Here are some pictures of the threads and the taper arrangement which is also keyed.

This is what the outside of the spider looks like
