I CAME INTO THIS WORLD WITH NOTHING & STILL HAVE MOST OF IT.........................
I used to be a truck driver,
but i am now not a truck driver ,

Inboard mounted diffs with jack shafts going to the wheels (this is the front steer axle)..........
Steering wheel swivel joints and levelling cylinders

2 speed transfer case goes to three drive axles (on this particular model)
with three non drive axles and all wheels are steerable with height adjust cylinders ......
One ,Four and Five are drive axles............
A V8 Benz donk of a bit over 500 HP with an Allison full auto and retarder...........
The red bizzo is a replaced inboard diff centre...........
All axles have wedge type brakes..........
Trailer manufacturer..........note there is no drawbar to the trailer......I guess the crane slew is left in float while travelling........

with boom over front
and a nother truck to cart all the counterweights, outrigger pads, and tool box of slings etc
The above pic 6 axles x 12ton per axle =72t ....guessn its overweight so they dolly the boom

Going by the spec sheet, truck weighs in at 57 tonne + boom weight and trailer of 26 tonne, the add the counterweight of up to 92 tonne. You would want pretty firm ground just to park the thing. It's 10 feet wide.

Have used Stewart's 200 ton Demag, she has similar layout.
Boom is dragged behind with some control for slew, counterweight delivered by 2nd truck.
Was designated 200t but not sure how they arrive at that, right close up over the arse she's about 150t.
A great piece of gear if you're sure of your bearing and don't want to shift. You should see that boom flex when she's right out.
Really good operators, the Stewart boys.
