Hi,
Saw these WTF's in the distance while passing at speed last week;
So, I came back to day and got closer;
Okay, so maybe Orchardist and Viticulturists have a secret Gearhead side?
Land Speed Buggy anyone?
How good is that?
LOL

....they look like a machine to disperse frost etc...
...there was a De Havilland Mosquito saved from a fate worse than death used up around Mildura back in the day with its wings sawn off and those two beautiful Merlins chugging away keeping the frost off the vines/crop/product or whatever...
...it appears the whole thing was doomed from the start (due to the voracious consumption of fuel by those lovely Merlins) but thankfully she still survives, and i believe is the one being restored down at the Pt Cook Museum in Victoria

Hi,
Pulling in for a frozen coke and saw this.
A very carefully shaped bit 'o' scrap indeed.
On the back of an engine re-conditioners ute.
I can only imagining the care, skill and money that went into making it 'just so'.
The driver didn't know quite what it was from, 'earthmover' was all he could suggest.
Id want it held in place with a bit more than a few sticks if it were in my ute. :-[

A couple of straps wouldn't go astray either.
The crank appears to be from a V12....

Love the aluminum cladding on the house just ring the panel beater to fix the house LOLDidn't really know where to post them found them among some old slides of the parents
The first one not real sure where but was in the Pyalong area in one of two locations but fair chance just south of the town
The second is when the highway went through the town the house is still standing and this would have been around mid 70's
