Does anybody have any pictures of any aussie garbage trucks?, like for eg an International ACCO with a rear loader or a side loader body. Or any experiences operating a refuse truck of any sort?

G'day Stevo,
I don't have any pics of aussie garbage trucks, but there are quite a few videos of them on YouTube.

Tonight is garbo night so I can hang out the bedroom window and get a f%$king pic of that f%$king Acco that has no back brake linings at 4.45AM if you like, and that will also give me the leveridge to ring/email JJ Richards and tell 'em to fix the f%$king thing! > > Bloody noisy heap of $hit ! >
And yes, its an Acco - about 2 years old.
cheers

Ah, that's a bummer . JJ Richards (colloquially known as JJR) are a good company from what i have heard. All of their side loader and front lift trucks have custom made bodies, which is very interesting stuff .

Seems to me that I have well and truly spoken too soon : to my amazement at just before 5.00 am today the trusty garbo showed up, but not in an Acco - it was a sparkling new compactor truck with a dual section body, top half for recyclables and bottom section for garbage; and by the look of it was on a Hino !!!
I didn't have the camera at the ready, but now I wish I did, never seen a Hino compactor before. Will get a piccy or two next Monday night hopefully.
See, even an ol fella like me can learn things from garbage...
Cheers,
Bretto
