Have always loved the 1418 style of Merc and, by assocation, all other Merc trucks ... naturally. Here's a few of mine dug out from the Photobucket account. All of these are on the forum in other threads.

Bernt Damm's at Dubbo 2008:

This is/was sitting next to a motel in Trafalgar, Vic, IIRC.

West Wyalong silos, harvest 2010

Andrew Blacklock photo. Still working in the Newcastle area with Smith's, IIRC.

Love this jigger. West Wyalong silos, havest 2010

Harvest again. Still haven't managed a good photo of this old girl.

Another Andrew Blacklock photo. Most recent Hunter Valley Truck Muster. This is diamondtnut's old girl?

Love this. Haulin' The Hume 2011, just south of Bargo.

Another favourite. In the Cullerans, Haulin' The Hume 2011. This made it into a Qld-based glossy truck mag. Forget the name now. Unfortunately it listed me as one of the organisers which I most certainly wasn't!

Here he is again. Dubbo 2012.

Hey Ute... very awesome photo, reckon in the late 70's some one was dragging a stock crate like that out of Newmarket... will need to check my source...

Whats the chances your Pic is mid / late 70's too.

Triple deck sheep were a no no for a long time.. and 'cause I dont know, when did the 1418 start in production...

Yes the boat stopped it ending up at the bottom.
The guy in the dingy near 2nd axle is the unhappy owner.
That crane is huge,it lifts 1T @ 18mtrs.
I gave the cab a coat of paint about 8 yrs ago.

Yah Andy, At least 2 of those babies will be at our Muster in March this year. Still in as much splendor as ever. Keep the photos coming. Were quite a few on the road back in their day we have been told. A good honest working girl.
