hi Tatra .. just finished painting a 1986 2233 8X4 Mercedes in signal red and didn't give a moments thought to posting a piccy of her on the forum... as old jiggers this age are still being rotated through the second hand truck industry, and being put back to work for how many more years to come...

...we just don't seem to let our second hand trucks die... and it never fails to amaze me to get asked to paint something that could be upwards of 35 years in service.....cheers mate

the Israeli fire fighting vehicles will carry on in service until the budget to replace them materialises... The Palestinian one probably forever - there is no use for electronic du-das in the Saudi-Arabian desert. I understand the first thing that happens with trucks exported (by sale or theft) from Israel to the Palestinian territories is the replacement of any electronic engines with earlier mechanical versions, lol.

So there are good reasons to keep them alive...
