Well, I had another trip south, I took some pics of other Bells trucks which I will put up later. Grabbed another one of this prime mover. It is single drive & had an air bag suspension upgrade. Going on the rego sticker it is a 1962 model with chassis number 104448.

j mack is correct the bell truck is a w923 i wrote w900 as a generalisation this model ran from late 60 to 63 and overlapped into 64 with the new generation cab. the only real change was 61 an early 62 models still had the 825 inboard steering box they then went to a gemmer box outside the frame plus some very early 60 -61 models had one piece chassis rail which included the step down very rare . vin # ran 1004xx to 1006xx from 61 to 63 . as i remember the vin on the rego label of the bell truck i saw at cowra was in the low 1004s so i assumed it was built in or around 61 same as mine i have no idea when this truck came to oz but ithink the same as jmack 65 -67 would be realistic i do no it was bogie drive it now has a single drive airbag by paul flannagan wagga and was i guess 6/71 originaly. i know i have not been on the forum as long as the assessor an none of the above info has come from a book just from workin on these trucks so feel free to disregard this as b-s but i do own a 61 923 and a 51 825 all cummins powered an the driveway is spotless and of course my s2 that i bought 30 years ago when no one wanted them???
