KW #400001, #400002

Hi Hayseed, not Dawsons, a ghost in a mates backyard.

No worries, Just looks a LOT like their colours.
But as My wife keeps telling Me Wrong again (still) :-[

Dawsons have had a lot of trucks over the years ,but only just got into Kenworths, think they might be subbies.Thats the one good thing about pics on the forum,educates everyone.

New member here, sorry to drag up an old thread but i found this one very interesting especially as quite a few of the very early Bayswater assembled KWs ended up here in NZ.

400001 was written off and someone salvaged the cab and turned it into a mobile DJ booth/trailer.

400015 is currently for sale over here on trademe.co.nz but it's in a bit of a sorry state. Hopefully someone can save the old girl. See pics below

Ian, that is what I told my wife when she always wanted to go to Hawaii!!!!

I think it might be a bit of a rareity with three windows at the rear or the cab, been wrong before???

Yea apparently the fuel companies specced them like that. 400015 is an ex Shell oil unit. Here's a couple more photos of some 3 rear window units The blue one is 400002 and is currently being restored. Not my photos
