The GS.... numberplate makes it late 1950s.
The museum online catalog describes it as a 3.4 L Hino tanker. Was Hino selling in Australia in that era?

It is a 1955 Dennis, Model F2.

Rego was GSR-540

103 is its fleet ("car") number, the 1 on the door indicates it runs from Station no 1 (Eastern Hill, Headquarters).
