1966 C1600 transmission

The idea with the CAV filter is that when you pump the hand primer on the lift pump,all trapped air has free flow through the fitting on the banjo,as soon as fuel begins to flow,it lifts the small brass ball in the fitting,and limits fuel flow back to the tank.Some have a small needle valve that has to be opened and closed manually.Not on truck motors though.
