I got a few pics this week of one of the old mans mates from his time on the road. Could have pit them in to the Frauline Friday love parlour, but I thought I'd revice this old thread.
These were Johnny Santiccione's trucks (god knows how you spell his name properly)
He was a bit of a ratbag back in the day, and I was told by another fella years ago that Johnny was the only bloke he'd ever known to do two proper Melbourne Brisbane round trips, in one week. That'd be back in the late 70's I guess, after he got out of the 1418 and into an ex Fluid Freight Kenworth, 903 powered, that he converted to Single Drive.
Can't imagine you'd do two Bris Melb trips in one week in a 1418, shit, it used to take us about ten days for ONE trip up and back.. but we were slow, and mucked around a lot, of course.
