It a low resolution picture, but I can't see the trademark, Albion sunrise on top of the grill.

I still reckon i can see a T on the grille.

Yep, belonging to F H Stevens ................
Twas said at the time , was the only diesel powered mover at the Sydney depot............
No idea what model it was..................
No idea what donk was in it.....but leaning towards Gardiner...........Maybe.............

Trailer...........Yep self tracking road train bizzo............
Made in 56 / 57. at Freighter Ind Turrella, Sydney...............
Actually the trailer belongs to the first Vestys Rottinoff (Julie) to be delivered, and ,is seen here
on the delivery run to Freighter Ind SA pending hookup to the Rottinoff and other trailer for the run
to Helen Springs. NT...............

Last , but not least, where be it...................
I know there is bugger all .... (virtually ) ... of a clue as to where it is, but anyone doing Sydney / Melbourne Or reverse
or shuttle would would go past that spot , south bound on the Hume out of the Sydney leg..........

I'll wager the VW in the foreground of the later picture, has more horsepower than the Thornycroft, in the first. :lol:

We will be down in Mittagong/Bowral area in a few weeks time on our wat to the Snowy Mountains to check out the Hydro scheme.
