AEC mklll Mammoth Major. Australian cab. Would have been sold as a chassis for body but due to shortage of new trucks at the time needs must and in any case they have made good use of the chassis length.

Billy, Did you have a close look at the ute.

it has some amazing work in it. There's a scar running up the back of the cab and ends in a bunch of stiches on the roof.

Even the engine mounts have the rocket theme.

Masses of manhours in that one.

It gets to Coffee on Sundays in the north west.

The Thornycroft appears to be displaying a Queensland Transport bus licence number. These were an authority to operate a passenger service and separate but additional to regular number plates.
