Snuck round a backstreet to be a good boy and not do an illegal U turn ,To be held up by a copper on wide load escort duty . Big mack and dolly and BIG float with the top deck of a komatsu PC1000 was trying to get through into their gates . Funny thing was the gate was a different shape after he went though it .Ian .

Yup certainly have been altho I'm not too sure if they are still running much out of there since the GFC appently they sacked a heap of people from CAT down that way a while back. Not sure if these guys were doing that as they are an associate of CAT.

I had to deliver some steel to a company called Haulmax this week and this is what they build.
120 Tonne GVM and 220 Tonne GCM.
5 of them are being built for Jamaica.

It's a fair way to the office.

Power is Caterpillar 3412, 27 Litre, 760HP.

Driving through a very big Semi auto Transmission to some very BIG diff's.

The directional equiptment.

And they are all Tasmanian built

Ok found the other two today

I have seen them with over 120 tons plus of slag

it good to see some tough aussie built trucks !

Straddle carriers
These carry the slabs onto the RORO ship
They would be around the 90's vintage
Powered with V6 GM's i think.......
