I've just read the Ed Cameron Kenworth book and enjoyed it, Swishy contributed a bit of info for this fine publication too!

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Possibly replaced after half a lifetime of abuse, the 1980s F truck in the picture shows that those KWs were pretty old by the time that photo was taken.

The Denmark post office was moved in 87 so those S models pretty old by then.

If you can get your head around some of the BS that goes on there is some very interesting pictures and stories.
One particular gentleman called Willfred Haywood was a driver with the Bottle Manufacturing Co in Abbottsford in the 50's and 60's...........he has put some unbelievable pictures up of the early model Kenworth Seattles pulling double roadtrains in arduous conditions from Melbourne to Darwin.
He is a wealth of knowledge and it is great that he is sharing his pics and stories with us, he even has some 8mm movies of his trips apparantly.

Hey swishy here’s a post I stumbled across this morning , pulling a road train in a Kenworth Seattle going to Darwin

Rattail, I'm pretty sure that Wilf died some time ago. I only met him once, he seemed like a true gentleman. Certainly would have had some stories to tell- those Bottle truck pics are amazing aren't they?
I think his son may be active in the old truck scene too, so we may be lucky enough for someone to put some of his photos up..
Cheers
Richard
