Feedback on the new look site

I have tried several times to stop getting emails from the new forum.  My profile says I have no category subscriptions but five topic subscriptions.  It tells me to delete selected topics but I cannot select any topics.  How do I do this?

Another change that is not so good is that the little saying (I cannot find the name for it, or how I put mine in) of from one to several lines that come up at the bottom of every post I make (a footer?)  Is now the same font and size as the message and appears to be part of that post.


 

Morris, i think i had the same trouble as you re emails/subscriptions.  I just went back to look at my profile to try and remember what i did, but i can't because i got rid of the subscriptions that were there, and so it looks a bit different now.  I think i ticked all the square boxes on the RHS of the screen, then clicked on unsubscribe.  I think that is what i did.  It took me a couple of goes to work it out.

I agree with you re people's "footer" being the same size and font, looking like it is a part of a comment.

If you can still see the subscription headings ..
you have not unsubscribed correctly and will still get emails......

I think I just went to the thread that was giving the email -> action -> unsubscribe.

180wannabe, I think you may have nailed it.

I clicked on:-
profile
subscriptions

Then found the little boxes on the right and clicked on all of them

At the bottom, I clicked on :
actions
unsubscribe

and because nothing happened, I did it all again and clicked on:-
go

It appears to have removed them all but I will not be sure until tomorrow.

My Wife gets these emails as well and complains bitterly every time she opens her ipad.


I have just thought of another item that annoys the hell out of me.

When I put the mouse on something, a black box containing white writing telling me what I have just moved the mouse to,covers it

I can confirm that your are not subscribed to any topics or categories via the admin pages so if you are still receiving emails about a topic or category today, let me know which one and I will dig a bit deeper to find out what is going on.
