For those who have not read 1984 here is a free download. It is an entertaining read and of such foresight well worth the time.

Of course Orwell wrote "Animal Farm", another great read and such a true description of the failings of communism set in a farmyard.
"All animals are equal just some more equal than others" declared the people's representative committee of pigs.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I have not read it (yet)
That preview looks frightening. I like science fiction and am worried about how the world is developing, so I will look for a copy.

'Great is the truth, but still greater is the silence about truth', I think the media and others know this........
Another read is 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley, who was one of Orwell's schoolmasters at Eton

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.

Trains and tunnels come to mind with that one. I suppose Aristotle was not a train buff.
I don't think trains had been invented when Aristotle was alive.

You must be wrong. The Spartans took the 3.45 Express out of Athens to get to Thermopylae before the Persians arrived from Tehran in their Ubers. That is why there were only 300 of them. Aristotle was doing a staff lecture on Inclusion in the Workplace and the Greek National Railways Union refused to man an extra service. That's what Google says anyhow.
