Hi Jarrod
with regards the gap in your transmision cover the holes in the sides
have round plugs of felt like cigerette filters only bigger stuffed down
into them then the metal strip I would cut a gasket out of thin gasket
paper and put a smear of sealant of some sort on it and jobs done
as to where to get the felt plugs not sure but a good bearing shop
may have some felt type rope seal you could make fit
if you or anybody knows of a bonnet for a farmall preferably diesel I
am in need of one

Thanks for that, Bluey. I was thinking rear main rope-seal stuff.
I may be on to another Super AMD way up north of here, near Gladstone? I have to ring the bloke back, he was going to find out if it's still driving a pump, or now derelict. May still have a bonnet. I'm hoping for back wheels....

I had forgotten was there didn't have a tape with but if you can give
me a size I'll measure it may solve half your wheel trouble

38" x 11" Where abouts are you? . (though I can weld bits into the rims I have). Mainly looking for tyres, 12 x 38, or 13.6 x 38. Any condition that will hold air, don't have money for good ones, unfortunately.

Hi Jarrod
Been a bit tied up and haven't had time to do anything more than have a quick
look on here
Regarding the rim it's an 11x38 but my young fella said don't be in too much of
a hurry to get rid of that we have an AMD7 and two AM's that it will fit and
an AM that has 32" wheels that he thinks may have to be changed to 38's if
it needs tyres down the track, maybe if there was a bonnet to swap he might
change his mind
We're located between Toowoomba and Warwick

A bit more progress to report. A nice bloke sold me a pair of back wheels cheap off an A414 High clearance (thanks Kelvin!). The rims have lugs on them, but they still go on enough. Had to get the old ones off first. Spent an hour with little progress, then remembered I had bought an old porta power on a whim a while back. Started to work easily and then all the oil came out. (why must they make the seals out of polyurethane?) I had a day off to see a surgeon today and had most of the afternoon to myself. Got a new seal from a hydraulic place in Ipswich and blew those old rims off. They did NOT want to come off due to the rust between them and the centres, but the porta power takes no prisoners :)
It's now back on four wheels with air in them for the first time in????
