Head back on with shiny new gasket. You may notice the uneven heights of the valves - the seats were that bad.

The rocker arm pads were a bit worn, hard to adjust properly with a lip in them. I have the gear, may as well reface them. Never done this before. A bit of a knack to it, but easy once you've worked it out.

All back together and adjusted (roughly). Blows great out the injector holes.

The injectors are next. They were all rusted solid. (the needles). I did get them out. I'm not sure if I should pull the bodies apart. I'll probably just put them all in and see if it goes. I will have to check the pump's not stuck on full, though. Not sure how to do that....

Jarrod.

To check the rack, take the side cover off the pump and see if there's movement as you work the throttle. If its stuck, a bit of gentle encouragement with a big screwdriver usually gets things working again. Before you start it, bleed the injectors but before you tighten the nuts back up, pull the stopper and make sure the fuel flow stops.

Funnily enough, I was wondering if I could do that (with appropriate fittings).

Thanks, Jarrod.

This will be tomorrow's job. Doesn't seem to have a stopper, though - only a throttle lever. It spits the same regardless which end the lever's at (while cranking). I'm hoping spitting means it also makes pressure. It's a CAV inline pump. I'll have to get a picture.

Thanks, Jarrod.
