All OK. He is the bloke who owns the paddock which I keep slashed for unfettered access to my yard and shed and parking for various items of junk.

I always put moly dag on the glowplugs ........Caterpillar 3208 injectors are the same .....smear them with moly ,and they come out easy.....put in dry,and youll have to take the head off and press them out.....generally after busting off the collar and pipe on them.

Dave was it you who told me you were cleaning out your shed. 3 piles- stuff you needed, stuff that might come in handy, stuff too valuable to throw out. All the rest went in the ute for the tip but not worth a trip to the dump for 4 bits of worn out sand paper, some oily rags and a tyre worn down to the wires downgraded from the come-in-handy pile.

Sarge, you should be using the hi octane diesel to help eject said injectors.

What, petrol?
Jarrod.
might eject some other bits, too.

Very interesting video on old International glo-plugs.
Looks to me just wiring them in series is the go but.... very different thing between wiring in series and a common power feed. I never saw any porcelin washers so whatever I did without them means the system is wrong with just jumper wire from top to top.
Any comments?

With the old original type the coil is insulated from the body of the glowplug, and so the power goes "in and out" of each one, then on to the next one, and so on. If one glowplug fails, they all stop working.
The Toyota conversion only requires power to the top of each one, as they earth through the body of the glowplug, and if one fails the rest will still work.
"Bundy Bears Shed" on youtube has a good video about installing/wiring the original type.
Brett.
