When I first registered my C1300 about 10 years ago, the GVM was shown as 10,000lbs. When I filled in the application for rego,. I just put it down as 4490kg and it went through without a hick-up. Even the guy doing the Blue Slip accepted it. Been that way ever since, so VSB 6, sect S, page 6 must be the way to go. I have a HC license, but put it on the lower GVM so any one who needed to borrow it could drive it on a car license, including the bride.

If I was to try it again and had any dramas, I would just quote the VSB and it should be all good.
