It's got Cummins heads on it, a Cummins bell housing, and a Cummins block, the oil pump, which is broken off is in the same place as an 855, the compressor/ fuel pump, which is broken off is in the same place as an 855, and the oil cooler is on the drivers side, same as an 855. I'm too lazy to move a truck out of the way to drop the bar and lift the bonnet on the White to get a couple of good pics, but I've seen a few 855's, and I'd put money on it.
You can even see the Cummins fuel pump on the back of that compressor, even the fuel lines are in the same place, big difference is, that it's a late model electronic motor.

;D ;D that's the picture I was after. Was this the engine that they used in their advertisment a fair few years ago and dubbed it the red head or was that the version after. I think it was around 1992.

Yep, an N14 Plus for sure. They were known as the Redhead or Redtop. Here's a better pic of the side of the block, for comparison. I'd guess 525HP is stretching their limits.

Thanks for that Ron..
Thats the pic we needed..
They are most certainly a different casting to any of the ones i have here.
I thought they modified the same N14 engine and fitted the electronics etc onto it..
Looked at plenty of 'redheads' and have never noticed, or taken any notice of the block changes..
We probably should of created another thread!
Cetainly away from the V8 cat we started with...
Thanks for the info etc...appreciate that.
