All of us who have harboured a dream and seen it through can understand how you felt and why that smile is so wide. Good onya. Geoff

Thanks so much for the kind words guys, some words of wisdom there! You are spot on prodrive, Chocs and I were talking about this today. The people you meet doing this are generally great, obviously there is the odd tool however the good far outweighs the bad. Copy that Chocs??
It'll be at the next Haulin', only needs a leaky waterpump kitted and the tail lights changed and it'll be okay for rego.
Max and I speak weekly. He's in his 70's and like I said, still peddling a VOLVO all over the States!! He called me from America as we were approaching Ballina to see if all had gone well, I got a bit choked up about it all right about then..........................
Tim, when the chassis rail was replaced in the early 80's they came with a tapered end. The tank on the left hand side was also replaced and has a screw on cap, the original on the right has a cap with a screw up T handle like on the dip stick end.
Funny Detective, I was showing a mate the truck this morning (hi RobFG, I know you're lurking) and he commented on the peculiar finish around the headlights. That was something I never knew. I relying on all of you Kenworth guru's to school me up on some of the finer detail..............
And Cam is right Swishy, it's quiet, real quiet. It's more the bounce. Dad wanted to come up but for the trip but I was a bit concerned about him getting in and out. I think his dentures would have hit the dash a few times
And you are all right about the connection here. I have three older sisters and they, along with my mum and dad all know the Max Keough name. My youngest sister who's 2 years older than me teared up when I told her I was getting it, they all know what it means and it takes them all back as well.
I'm still smiling

Good on ya Cunnin..
Well i think you have gone from bad to worse...
First a Coma now a Rivet box..
And yet another screama!
When will you ever listen..
I guess there is still hope, we can always slot a Cummins into it sometime during the resto.
In all seriousness though, it is great to see someone realise a dream..
It can make all the hard yards seem worth it in the long run.
Too often, opportunities arise and they are not followed through...leaving a trail of regret..
I think thats called the woulda, coulda, shoulda Syndrome.
You have proven that patience and persistance does pay off.
Not to mention some assistance from a few good blokes! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
As has been said before, its about the people..
Look at the network that has been established here..
Some people going out of their way to assist when and where required..
Irrespective of their own situation, they are willing to jump in and help.
Ol Mate with the Kenworth a perfect example.
What a Gentleman, in another place, that may have been left to rot! Everyone misses out.
Good to see everyone pullin on the same bit of string, and all in the one direction..
Sure makes the job a lot easier!
See mate..you do get out what ya put in..
Bloody good luck to ya!
chocs
PS...
re your phone call, the quote left on a Chep pallet tonite..
Should help to get ya smile back to a normal size...
