peterbilts,then and now

I can remember being at the Sydney Showground Speedway circa 1964 (give or take a year) and a Peterbuilt did an exhibition run around the track. It was reputed to be the first one in Australia. They did say how much it cost, but I dont rememberhow much , but I do remember it was a huge amount of money for a truck back then.

From memory ( which can play tricks ), it was dark green all over.

Thats a top pictorial history detective lynchy got the colours right the 2nd time the one with the flat top looks like waitn to turn right on to parra road off hill road homebush

BBPete, here's the sister truck to yours, when they were both at Conden's in Shell colours. As Detective has mentioned, this one is chassis number 15835. (Not my photo, credit to the owner)

detective where is the chassis number on a coe pete as there is one in a yard that we cart into i'll try and get a photo ,the fella who owned it was doing it up before he past away there is a sar in the yard too i'll get a photo of that too steve
