Howdy,

Talked to Cam yesterday and he's fine. Was busy moving gear from the workshop to higher ground.
Road was flooded between his workshop and house so he's living down the shed for a couple of days..the big fella has beer so he'll be right :)

I've been watching the terrible pictures from Brisbane.
I have relatives in 'The Gap'.
Does anyone know what its like there ?

My thoughts are with all those affected, and all friends and relatives.

Cheers
RS

Hi All, I havn't been avioding you. The water level in the steet my shed is in was supposed to rise to a piont that would have put about 2 or 3 feet of water through it. Luckily, the rain abated, and it wasn't as bad (for us) as expected. A lot of other poor buggers have some hard work in front of them though. We started moving everything out of the shed Tuesday arvo, not a small job, and moved up to higher ground, I've been staying down there in case I've had to move anything else, and just got home now. So here's a couple of pictures. These are taken in our street this morning out of a tinnie. You can see a B double skel in one of the pics, I'll put up some pictures of it yesterday.

Had old Mr Carsburg our yard truck hooked up to the tipper. We towed the Dodge around this way a couple hours before, and seeing as I had a lack of trailer brakes I went around this way so I was going up the hill to get into the other yard. The water was a bit deeper than expected, though that was all cool, I knew the air intake faced backwards, so I thought, the only way to go is forward. However, the air intake didn't let me down, but the old girl stopped at about the deepest piont, didn't lock up, then, so I don't know quite what stopped her, or weather it got a little in there, anyway, old mate on the corner had a 20 tonne excavator which dragged us up the road. You can see the B double skel in this pic as well,

It's supposed to be getting better, the water level has dropped, so we will probobly spend the weekend setting the place up again.
Sorry Roland, I havn't seen a TV or computer since Tuesday mate, so I don't know what is happening at the Gap.

Rocklea Truck Spares and Heavy Haul Trailers, the water level was about a foot or so higher than when these where taken.
