If your book is lost or misplaced or stolen,
you should notify the authority within 48 hours of the said event..
Should you forget to do so...you may find, as a reminder, you are missing just over 2 grand from your wallet!!
chocs 8-)

Only got a new one last saturday. Left the old one on seat of ute. Could not se the point of carrying two of the things. A short training session chainged my mind :-[

Also remember to keep your old work diary in the truck
so they can go back 28 days or they will take $265.00 off you. Ask me how i know :'(

Old dog,a question if I may.

If your current work dairy was issued 28 Days (or longer) ago, there would be no need to carry the old one???

Silly Boy chocs'

Didn't you really mean to say was,

" But officer,I had it on the fuel tank filling it out in the good light. When My phone rang. I jumped in the truck. When phone call was finished,I knew the book was filled out....So off I went.
It's somewere between here & Pheasants Nest, Officer"

a whole line of yellow thingys'

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't of cost $2k

Hi Guys. Finally got a reply from the RTA this morning;

Hi Rod,
Thankyou for your e-mail.
I am advised that there is no exemption for Conditionally Registered Heavy Vehicles, under the relevant Fatigue Laws consequently, driver's of heavy vehicles under the condition registration scheme are required to carry and complete work diary where travelling more than 100klm radius from the drivers base.

So you guys were correct - again ::)

This is a general comment...not directed at anyone in particular....
For future reference as far as driving and licensing goes....
It would be fairly safe to assume the normal rules apply, for your class of vehicle, within your state, for all road users....'Club' or Commercial...
With the exception of the freight being carried on 'club' units..being strictly not for hire or reward. (your own gear)

A 'concessional' rego does NOT give you any 'special' road rules or regulations on a public road..
It is an affordable scheme provided for you to operate your unit on public roads..

I think it would be safe to assume, that if the line is not towed correctly, sooner or later, the priveledge will be revoked...
At almost $5500.00 for a 3 axle prime mover registration in Victoria....
I'd be making sure you did the right thing...

I have also been told by the authorities....
If you load that 'club registered' semi trailer or tray truck...you will comply with the load restraint laws or you will be fined..
'Ownership' of your 'goods being carried' ie: trucks or tractors..should be clearly 'yours' or a dispute may arise on the roadside... resulting in a penalty also...

Thats my 2 bobs worth for what its worth!
