I have had the odd Chamberlain over the years and work them well beyond their designed limits and never had a drive shaft fail

Their is two drive shafts, one for the gears and the other for the PTO

I personally think that these are pretty bulletproof tractors
Basic simple no nonsense machines

Their hydraulics are their weakest points

My limited experience would second that Paul, and how often do we see a chamberlain with a 903 or pair of 871'S bolted up to it....

I re-read this thread, my mate max the repair man seems to have been on the money, his dodgy spring and packer giving perfect performance. Over complicated I would describe it. Up and down or down and up and stay where I left you ya bastard.. ...

I been surprising a few people lately........gave the old Harman to the Islamis ....couple of guys have expressed shock I gave something away.........anyhoo,had a millennial here tuther day ,hes "I want to buy that old wrecked Chamberlain down the yard ".........thats my best one ...the nice looking one is stuffed by having an idiot working on it (before I got it)............Islamis are in more hot water with the council.....council want to fine him a million bucks.......and have taken him to court.
