If your pump took an old style rope seal then the bearing shops or a farm water pump shop sell great gland packing now days even with graphite if required.

These are one of the nicest looking trucks of the era, better looking even than a lot of cars.

International styling looked good, K6 with it’s individual headlights stood out more than theK5 ones in the mudguards. I reckon the
L -AL models grille looked better than AR and AS changes.

Currently preparing the running boards for paint. It looks like someone had bolted rubber mats to the front of the running boards and caused a lot of rust to form, it's a PITA but could be a lot worse. So a bit of blasting and a bit of welding…

It is amazing just how much steel sweats when covered like this
Even corrugated iron stacked neatly sweats a huge amount and the tin is soon stuffed

An update on the C1. I’ve laid rubber on the running boards, fitted them and the guards onto the ute. Made up tail light and number plate brackets, repaired the tail lights and fitted them. Reconditioned and painted the headlights. JB weld on the steering wheel cracks and painted it in two pac. IIRC it was Oilman on this fine forum that did the steering wheel repair and I copied it, thanks. Picked up the front bumper from being re chromed today, a nice job.
I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, still a few more things to do plus finish off the interior.
