Bigcam and my mate Swishy,
Will be making a visit to admire some shiny Trucks in Brisbane within a couple of weeks, have heard from a couple of drivers, you could get any amount of polish but a cartridge of grease was not so easy. That's why it is good I will not be around if the Auction is not until September.
Now Swishy we will be ordering a Volvo 700 within the next few days, delivery should be around November, will be selling a Volvo 660 450,000 Ks 170 tonne rated hub reduction all the good stuff. Interested ? just asking.

Swishy
We have never seen it so quiet our workload is half what it was this time last Year.
I will stay with the European Trucks, in fact the next Volvo 700 will be different to anything we have used before.

Hello Pat
From the information I have there will be at least 3 sales, Brisbane, WA somewhere, by Pickles and the 3rd conducted by Gray's, not sure where it will be held.
It will be interesting to see where it all ends up, a lot of very expensive equipment, problem is most of it while nice to look at it is not all that competitive, well that is my opinion anyway.
During Jon Kelly's / HHA rise to where he took his Company I had to listen to our people, three Son's included, look at what he is doing, standing my ground so that we did not go the same way I continued to say, there is not this kind of money in Heavy haulage to do what he is doing.
The only smart thing he did was to buy some Volvo 700s, could someone point Swishy this way, just maybe the penny will drop and the light of prosperous days will shine upon my mate. VOLVO the only way to go!

rex i follow this thread with much interest as i have the one truck for the last 12 years doing the one job granted it has been local work but it has earned me than a good living a mate who does the same job has just put his neck in the noose for a brand new jigger after i begged him not to. like most jobs in the truck industry the good money is not there any more due to competition ,costs etc etc. so why in your experianced opinion why isn't HHA's equipment competitive??? regards whale
