QUESTION TIME
Lang wrote: My problem will be taking an unregistered vehicle (with or without a brown slip) from NSW to Qld. I seem to recall I had all sorts of problems getting a permit for a car previously as a non-NSW resident (It has no registration nor I a NSW licence or Main Roads personal record number). There was some insane stupidity about having to have an inspection to get the permit but I could not drive on the road to get the inspection without a permit.
Reading the regulations it would appear to OK to go to an inspection station with nothing.
The Victorian permit system of everything genuinely on line is fantastic.

That is good. Not on line for "foreigners" but doable with a visit to an office somewhere. Still not as good as the all-electronic Victorian system for all-comers.

I haven't had to establish a New Rego for sometime..IHScout wrote: Hayseed I think you might be optimistic about how online the RMS is. Blue and Pink slips can definitely be taken care of online, but registering a vehicle from interstate involved a lot of paper and manny, many trips to the friendly people at Service NSW.
The last few Times I've established an NSW Rego I've let the Dealer earn His "Pre delivery" Fee/Commission......
But Renewals & Transfers can be All done online....

Someone will always throw something up at random, and I for one, think that further study should certainly be conducted into the rum, coke and ice problem!
The coffee/sugar conundrum could perhaps better be left until the next morning after rigerous overnight testing of the former!
