That injector ripper-outer would be sixty bucks well spent.

In retrospect I think the ripper outer wouldn't cut it...

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationMaybe better off with one of these
and a length of chain to attach the diesel to a boat in need of an anchor.

Har bloody har...

Wasn't it Dodge that took the Perkins to the US because that can't build a Diesel to save themselves??

I digress... I wrote a better post and the forum ate it apparently.

Here are the pictures of the injector with what I thought was a sheet metal insert around it. Turns out it was mummified rubber which I picked out with a screwdriver. At least there's a recess to hold some Inox.

The home made slide hammer ended up being converted to a puller.

#2 thru #6 was easy enough but #1 is still in place. It's damaged the puller thread a bit it's stuck so fast. I'm hoping it'll yield being left under tension overnight. Perhaps I'm putting too much faith in Inox but I don't know what else can be done for it.

www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/goolwa/trucks/in...uck-parts/1158615589 you might still need the engine crane but this lot will cure the diesel problem and stay with an Inter engine.

Try putting a spanner on the injector body and giving it a turn. You can try it both ways, but if it’s really easy anticlockwise, you’ll just be unscrewing the cap off the body.

May need to go back to the slide hammer and drive it in then out and keep alternating and using the Inox.
Had to get some injectors out of a SsangYong 2L and it took ages driving both ways to break up the crud locking them in.
Heaps of Nickel Anti seize around the OD when reinstalling. Poor design as no O ring to keep oil / water / dirt out of the space between the injectors and head.
Cheers Steve
